Faux Fur Range
There are now several products in the (minimink)® range under this heading and all use the same very high quality faux fur and are lined with 100% cotton. Available in rich lush chocolate, warm honey brown and creamy soft milk. Each colour is unisex and combines well with other colours of childrens clothing; prams and interior decoration. All products are machine washable and retain their softness.
Rug/Wrap/Throw
This is the original product in our range. It has many uses and is a perfect new baby gift although lasts much longer than just the “baby stage”. It is designed to perform several uses such as:
- a play rug (either around the home or when traveling)
- a pram wrap with a rounded corner so that it can be placed inside the pram; baby on top against the cotton and the rug folded over baby’s body
- a throw - lovely in baby's room when going into them in middle of night - or in almost every room in the house! Older children (and adults!) also love the use the (minimink)® rug/wrap/throw in the car; to lie on, or under, and on their bed.
The size is approximately 100cm x 100cm with one rounded corner.
Blanket
The (minimink)® blanket measures 110cm x 140cm and is lined with cream 100% cotton jersey. Perfect as a blanket or throw for all ages! Fits the top of a single bed. Parents are buying them as a gift for their child when moving from the cot to the bed! A beautiful gift that will last and last. This blanket is also beautiful for any age and we have had lots of great feedback from people of all ages - whether as a rug on the sofa; a gift for an adult in hospital or a grandparent.
Maxi-mink
For the big kids! This rug measures 200cm x 150cm and is suitable for a sofa or bed throw. Fits the top of a queen sized bed or hangs right over a single bed almost to the floor. The lining of the maxi-mink incorporates our new design of circles – contemporary but fun and fits in with many style settings. The fabric used in the lining is a cream 100% cotton. For Pram and Car Seat
Pram Papoose
The pram papoose has holes for the 3 and 5 point harness and is designed to fit all standard prams, strollers and car seats. It has a foot muff and wraps over the child with ties to secure (much like a wrap top). Lined with cream 100% high quality cotton that is strong enough to handle lots of wear and tear!
Pram Liner
The pram liner also fits all standard prams, strollers and car seats. It has the (minimink) faux fur on the front and is lined with strong 100% cotton lining. It is also reversible which makes it very transeasonal. The pram liner is also machine washable. There is holes for the shoulder straps of a harness and the sides and bottom are cut in where the side and bottom harnesses go.
Hats
Within the (minimink) faux fur range there are two styles of hats. For the smaller children we have the Russian style hat which has ear flaps and ties to secure under the chin (yes, we know what alot small children are like with hats!!). For the older children, we have the MInk Hat which uses the same fabric and faux fur but does not have the ear flaps.
Both styles use 100% cotton cord for the outer crown (top of head), have the (minimink) faux fur around the edge of the hat and are lined with 100% cotton jersey. The Russian style has the faux fur on the outside of the ear flap and the cotton cord on the inside.
The Russian style hat is available in three sizes - XS (newborn to approximately 4 months); 0-1 (approximately 4 to 12 months) and 1-2 (approximately 1-2 years). The Mink Hat is available in 2 sizes - SM (approximately 2-4 years) and ML (approximately 4-8 years). It is very difficult to give an exact sizing for hats as heads come in all shapes and sizes - our sizing follows research and feedback from the many heads that have worn or tried on our hats.
The response to each of our children when they wear these hats is quite amazing - whether baby, toddler, preschool, school age or preteen and boy or girl! Teamed with a scarf the older children look gorgeous and keep warm!
Scarf
The (minimink) scarf uses the (minimink) faux fur; has a split close to one end for threading the other end through and has slight balls at each end to stop it from slipping back.
The scarf measures 74 cm long and 10cm wide. It fits all ages – from approximately 18 months. It also suits adults depending on how snug you like your scarves to be!
Mittens
The (minimink) mittens are all 100% cotton cord fabric with 100% cotton lining and use the (minimink) faux fur around the wrist. Between the fur and the fabric, at the wrist, they are slightly elasticized. The hand of the mittens is all in one - we have found that if a small child can keep all their hand together rather than having their thumb in a different section they will keep their mittens on longer!
Available in 2 sizes - SM ( to fit up to 18 months) and ML (from 18 months to 3 years). They are joined together with a cord string long enough to thread through the arms and behind the back of a jacket/jumper to stop those little kittens from losing their mittens! Our youngest child loves wearing them like this as she can take one or both off and it will just hang at the end of her jacket until she is ready to put it on again. Please note that the SM is very generous and not really suitable for a newborn as the thickness of the fur means we cant make them extra small. They are designed to fit over the cuff of a jumper or jacket.
Bootees
The (minimink) bootees have been a very popular addition to the faux fur range both as a gift or for one's own child.
They use the (minimink)fur on the outside and are 100% cotton lined. The edge of the bootee is lined with a binding and there are 4 holes with ties threaded through. Available in 2 sizes – XS (to fit up to approximately 4 months) and S (to fit from 4 to 8 months).
Teddy Bears
The (minimink) teddy bears just keep getting more and more popular!. They are very soft and snugly and are suitable from birth. The teddy’s are approximately 26cm high and have beans in their bottom and legs (contained in a separate bag).
